MATIESEN

White Wine

With the Matiesen wines we salute the wine culture of the first Republic of Estonia. The legend dates back to 1910 – Luscher and Matiesen were well-known merchants of that time who enriched the local wine culture. In Toompea the biggest wine factory of Tallinn was established and broad variety of products were imported. Now the Matiesen brand is back, offering wine experiences from the best wineries of Europe.

The Matiesen white wine is a dry wine from Southwestern France, near Bordeaux it is elegantly light and fresh. The wines have been produced using the traditional method of pressure and ageing on yeast sediment for 6 months. White wines of this sort were also popular in the 1920s and 1930s, when merchants Luscher and Matiesen started importing quality wines to Estonia.

Wishing to pass on the legacy and brand of Luscher&Matiesen, we have preserved the 1930s style on the etiquettes. Enjoy!
